New Jar Size

The other day I was shopping for a class and I discovered Ball has a
new sized jar. I love it! It is bigger than a pint but smaller than a
quart . With its wide mouth, it makes canning produce a very easy
process. We pickled some whole asparagus the other day in class and
usually I would need to cut away a majority of the stem but this new
tall-sized jar allowed me to keep them whole. I look forward to
pickling some carrots and green beans using this new size. Another
great find: WinCo seems to have canning supplies for a lot less money
and a lot of great deals. I am excited to put these great new finds to
great use in my kitchen!
