All In A Jar is very thankful to Orchard Nursery in Lafayette for asking   All In A Jar to do a demonstration yesterday. I was pleased to see two of my students there, who cheered me on, and a few new students who were excited to learn the art of preserving food. I made Strawberry-Raspberry Vanilla Bean Jam. It was delicious! I am looking forward to Wednesday night’s class and Saturday day’s class. We will be making Fennel Sweet Onion and Tequila Hot Sauce.

Left Over Fruit

Today I’m having fun in the kitchen creating a new recipe using some very ripe persimmons my friend gave me and some pears from last night’s jamming class.  Not sure how it will turn out; I will keep you posted! By the way it is delicious.

Minutes Before Class

Minutes before class started, I was standing, looking at the kitchen all set up and I got so excited to meet new students were coming to learn the art of preserving food. We had a wonderful time making Pickled Baby Beets With Raspberries and Pear Ginger Jam. We will be making the same two recipes this Saturday and we have two spots left. Sign up on my Classes page.
