The Watermelon Hot Sauce is great in tacos, on grilled pork or as a salsa with chips.
This is a chutney that has sweet, sour and spicy going on. Spicy Tomato Chutney can be used with lamb, grilled meats or chicken skewer .
Lavender Ginger Pickled Blueberries can be used on pork or with goat cheese as an appetizer. These sweet berries have been transformed to a tart pickle with a beautiful under tone of lavender and ginger.

Wow, I can’t believe it is mid February. Time moves fast around here at ” The Farm .” So much has been done. It is hard to sit inside and work on the computer. I have been waiting for a rainy day. It has not rained in weeks and we don’t have any coming in the near future. This is why you haven’t heard from me in a while. The garden is coming along nicely. We have three more fruit trees: Peach, Plum, and Nectarine. We have blackberries, blueberries and the raspberries are waiting for the bed to be made. We have something to eat out of the garden every day. I have seeds starting to germinate inside and waiting for the weather to warm up to be planted. Please check out the up coming classes on the page called ” Up coming Classes 2018. ” Come and enjoy a class and a tour of the garden. I’m sure we will be eating something from the garden for lunch. All In A Jar is very fortunate that ” The Kitchen “, the gourmet Ace Hardware store in Alamo has asked me back for a few classes.
I look forward to having you and a friend here at ” The Farm.”
I love Berries. This year has been wonderful for berries. I have been finding them at Safeway, Sprouts, and Walnut Creek Produce. Despite the drought, they are tasting amazing. When I find them at the right price I buy several packages and place them on a cookie sheet ,then put them into the freezer for one hour. After the hour, I place them in freezer bags writing how many cups of berries with the date too. At this point I will have berries in the freezer to play with in the winter. This is a great way to preserving food until you can get to it.
I’m sure you can see all the text in the Title and above the post. The text is All In A Jar claiming her blog on Bloglovin.
