Spicy Black Berry Jam

The best part about being a foodie is that people give you food. In the summer time I open my front door to find tomatoes, squash and berries that the neighbor has shared with me. I feel so blessed. In return, I share yummy jars of jams, chutneys and pickles.

My daughter’s boyfriend, my husband and his friends all hunt and fish. As you might guess, I have a lot of fun in my kitchen with everything they give me.
The other night I made goose with some of my spicy blackberry jam. I use the jam as a sauce by reducing it in a saucepan with some wine, chicken broth and shallots. Not only was it yummy it was very pretty too.
