This is a happy and yet sad blog, I need to share with you that All In A Jar will be moving in March of this year. It is a happy time because my husband and I, will be starting a new chapter in our life’s moving up to the Gold Country. We are looking forward to having a garden, fruit trees and some chickens. I will continue to teach once we get settled in.
But yet sad, because I leave behind all the wonderful students that have come to my classes. I will try my best to keep blogging during this very busy part of my life. The class calendar goes to the end of February. Please come join me in the last of the classes here in Lafayette. You can always email me with questions. I will do my best to help and of course you can always come up to the Gold Country for a class.
I am considering having All In A Jar travel to students homes.
Please let me know if that would be something you would like.
Best wishes to all of you and Happy Canning.
It is hard to believe this year has come and gone. I have a lot of wonderful memories of 2013. Some of my favorites are being in the kitchen with my students, having fun canning. I’m blessed you all wanted to learn the art of preserving food with All In A Jar. Thank You. With the New Year here, it is full of hope and promise for a better year. Let this New Years bring you and your family health, happiness, wisdom and great food.
All In A Jar wants you to have a delicious Valentine’s Day. Make something yummy. We will be having Pickled Pencil Asparagus and Endive With Goat Cheese and Pickled Raspberry Beets for an appetizer. Our salad will be a seared sea scallop salad with Marinated Mushrooms on top of mixed baby greens. For dinner we will enjoy rainbow chard with lemon and green olives, rosemary-rubbed rack of lamb and red potatoes. We can’t make up our minds for dessert; there are so many options from my jars. Should it be Whole Peaches with Vanilla Bean in Sparkling Wine or Pears with Toasted Almonds in Italian Almond Liqueur or maybe Shortbread with Orange Vanilla Bean Curd? I do have vanilla ice cream to go with whichever option we choose. Enjoy your dinner!
